Website Redesign & Build

02 | THE STARTING POINT

Yasha had already started rebuilding his website when he came to me. He'd hired a firm, agreed to a short timeline, and expected to be live in a matter of weeks.

By the time the site was supposed to launch, he hadn't seen anything. Weeks went by with no updates and no drafts. What eventually arrived was a link to a finished site he'd had no hand in shaping.

03 | WHAT WAS GETTING IN THE WAY

The site didn't work for him. The content repeated itself, and the design felt like it had been assembled rather than considered. It read as something a developer had built without a designer involved.

For a therapist, that gap matters more than it might elsewhere. Someone looking for a trauma therapist is often reaching out at a hard moment, and the site is their first sense of whether this is a person they can trust.

What Yasha wanted was a clear brand he could carry forward. The website, his directory profiles, his social presence, all reading as the same practice.

04 | THE APPROACH

We started from what he already had and worked closely to build out his vision.

The design centers on how the site feels to someone in a difficult moment. Calm pacing, plenty of space, imagery that steadies rather than sells. Language that meets people before they have the words for what's wrong.

The structure supports how people actually look for a therapist. Specialties are their own sections, so someone searching for EMDR or addiction recovery finds what they need. Cost and insurance are answered up front instead of buried, because that's usually the second question. The site names in person therapy in St. Paul alongside virtual sessions across Minnesota.

We built a visual language cohesive enough to extend past the site, so his profiles and social presence read as the same practice.

05 | WHAT’S DIFFERENT NOW

Yasha has a site he was part of building. It reads as his practice rather than a template, and it holds together across every platform where someone might find him.
